
Japanese Style Sesame Mochi recalled after two allergic reactions
OTTAWA - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a warning for people with allergies to peanut proteins not to consume Japanese Style Sesame Mochi.
The agency says the affected product contains peanuts that are not declared on the label. The product was distributed in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec and two people have suffered allergic reactions after consuming it.
The importers are voluntarily recalling the product from the marketplace.
The affected product is from Taiwan and is sold in 210 gram packages bearing UPC 4 712905 016043.
All codes are affected.
